This past Fall Thermtrol celebrated having their manufacturing plant in Vietnam for 15 years! Headquartered in North Canton Ohio since 1987, Thermtrol first opened manufacturing operations in the VSIP industrial park in the Vietnam Binh Doung Province near Ho Chi Minh City in 2003.
When asked about the selection of Vietnam, Executive Vice President Mark Jefferies Jr. stated “The Vietnam location was selected as being the best fit for Thermtrol manufacturing based on a number of factors including the need for World Class Quality, the desire to have a location that is 100% owned/ operated and one that is in a low labor cost centers with the necessary infrastructure to handle import and export. In addition to all of this, Thermtrol was also rewarded with having a well-educated & stable work force with an incredible work ethic. Having streamlined Customs clearance within industrial park coupled with having English as the official second language and the USD as the official second currency in Vietnam has resulted in this being ideal for Thermtrol’s continued growth and customer support.”
