North Canton, OH, January 14, 2014 – Thermtrol Corporation is excited to announce that they will soon be carrying the new, lower temperature rated 7AM products from Sensata technologies.
“Sensata Technologies has increased its Klixon 7AM thermal protector family to include two new ratings to better serve low temperature sensing applications. The Klixon 7AM will now include both the 7AM362 with a 55±5°C open temperature and the 7AM363 with a 60±5°C open temperature. Designed to work in both motors and in low temperature sensing applications, the ratings are pending UL agency approval.” – Sensata Technologies
The new temperature ratings will make these thermal protectors ideal for the low temperature applications found in some transformers, ballasts, motors, and LED lighting.
The Sensata Klixon product line of 7AMs is used in lighting, electrical, thermal, battery, motor protection applications. With UL, CSA, KEMA (ENEC) approvals, the thermal protectors are individually temperature checked on modern, custom-designed equipment. The Klixon bimetal disc welded in a steel can provides excellent thermal sensitivity and maximum protection properties that allows for maximum design flexibility and application.
