Thermtrol Corporation Acquires MGI Manufacturing, Inc.

NORTH CANTON, Ohio, August 15, 2007 - Thermtrol Corporation announced that it closed an agreement today to purchase the assets of MGI Manufacturing, Inc. of Cary, IL, a leading wire harness manufacturer specializing in insert & over molding, harness assembly, and contract assembly. MGI, a TS16949 Certified company, had 2006 revenues of US$11 million and is particularly active in the Automotive, Agricultural, and Sensors & Controls markets.

"The acquisition of MGI is exciting to the entire Thermtrol family. It brings Thermtrol additional competency in the manufacture of automotive wiring harnesses. It will also provide MGI additional resources from Thermtrol's global manufacturing and marketing teams. This acquisition will be used as a core for future acquisitions. This new division will extend the great history of customer service, reliability, and excellent value that Thermtrol has provided in the thermal protection market since 1987, to the wiring harness market.

The division will have its engineering and design group located at Thermtrol Corporation's North Canton office. Sales and quoting of harnesses will be handled by our world wide sales operation with offices located in North Canton, Ohio and Hong Kong. Manufacturing of the division will be performed at Thermtrol VSIP Company Ltd - our established world class and ISO certified manufacturing facility located in Vietnam.

Chet Rojice Sr, who has over 25 years experience in the wire harness industry, heads the engineer and design group.
